Never far from controversy and criticisms, the Playboy Bunnygirl, Jordan, aka Katie Price, has expressed an interest in becoming one of Hugh Hefner’s cover girls after several years away from the busy end of the camera on glamour shoots.

Having only taken the opportunity to appear on the cover of Playboy magazine for September 2002 and Voluptuous Vixens magazine in 2000, Jordan now feels she missed out on being a real bunny girl.

As the United Kingdom’s answer to Pamela Anderson, Jordan has carved herself a career built on removing her clothes for various fashion shoots, writing children’s books, designing lingerie and lately her ambition in dressage has also been uncovered.

Having linked up recently with another of Hef’s Playboy Bunnygirls, Holly Madison, Jordan is hoping to put the final moves on Mr Playboy himself.

The Welsh born blond bombshell has spent the past few years playing house with husband, Peter Andre and her three children, Princess Tiaamii, Junior Savva Andreas Andre and Harvey who’s father is English footballer, Dwight Yorke.

With her great ambition to appear naked for Hugh Hefner’s Playboy magazine once again, and having seen Dita von Teese in her latest Playboy pictorial Jordan commented to OK! Magazine, “I’d love to do Playboy. Although I just saw Dita Von Teese’s cover and it’s cr*p. The woman is rank. It’s not my cup of tea that she’s so pale. I think the pictures look a bit Readers’ Wives. It didn’t look like Playboy to me.”

Marilyn Monroe Keeps Popping Up on Playboy!

Friday 23 January 2009 @ 2:56 pm

Probably the most iconic Playboy bunny girl in history, along with the most recognized movie star throughout the world, Marilyn Monroe certainly left a mark on Hugh Hefner and his Playboy publication.

When Hefner first conjured up the idea of a magazine for men he wanted his first issue to be filled with Marilyn Monroe and nothing else.

The magazine, which had its debut in December 1953, only had a print run of 54,000 copies, and had a lasting and collectable First Lady on the cover, in the form of Monroe.

To attract people to the magazine Hefner bought the rights to a nude photo of Marilyn Monroe and so the Playboy Empire was born.To attract people to the magazine Hefner bought the rights to a nude photo of Marilyn Monroe and so the Playboy Empire was born.Since the original copy only sold 54,000 copies, they are extremely rare now a days and sell for in excess of $5,000 each, if they can be located.

So, with that in mind, and with the demand for the issue to complete many a die hard Playboy collector’s appetite, Christmas 2006 saw Hef issuing an exact replica of the original 1953 Marilyn Monroe Playboy magazine with only 2 differences between the original 1953 and the replica. In the upper right hand corner of the front cover the square is larger on the reprint, and there are 3 staples on the replica not 2 as on the original.

The replica issue can be bought for as little as $100.00 and would be a true investment for the future.

Once again, only printing 20,000 will make this issue much sought after in years to come and is already a difficult issue to find. A piece of history to pass on from generation to generation.

Following Hefner’s success in his magazine enterprise he went on to use the Gentlemen Prefer Blondes star on the cover of 5 more issues of his world famous magazines, September 1955, May 1979, January 1997, January 1999 and December 2005.

From Spice Girl to cover girl! That was what fate had in store for the English born red haired, vivacious, beauty, Geri Halliwell.

Being a Playboy Bunnygirl was truly a highlight in Geri’s career that brought her to the attention of the world’s media as more than just a singer and a rebel, but as a sex symbol.

Cloaked in a Union Jack flag, Geri re-enacted her appearance at the 1997 Brit Awards showing her well known feminist side with a typical girl power pose.

The opportunity to grace the cover of Hugh Hefner’s Playboy magazine came just one year prior to Geri leaving The Spice Girls following in-band differences and saw Geri’s profile lifted throughout the world as a representative for the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). As a goodwill ambassador, Halliwell toured the Philippines on a fact-finding trip.

These days Geri is more a stay at home mum to her baby daughter, Bluebell Madonna, whom she named as a tribute to her singing idol, Madonna.

Cindy Crawford: The Forever Beautiful Bunny Girl!

Wednesday 21 January 2009 @ 3:26 pm

There are models and there are supermodels and none so eternally beautiful as the Playboy Bunny Girl, Cindy Crawford.

Since the late 1980’s this Illinois born model has built an entire career around her good looks appearing in several publications such as, Vogue, W, People, Harper’s Bazaar, ELLE, Cosmopolitan, and Allure at the same time as modeling for top fashion houses such as, Gianni Versace, Escada, Revlon, Ink and endorsing Omega, Maybelline, and Clairol.

Cindy has remained somewhat of an enigma in the world of celebrity with her life being kept fairly private by the standards of today’s models such as Kate Moss, Agness Deyn and the forever vicious, Naomi Campbell.

Not the tallest of models, standing at just 5ft 9ins, Cindy still managed to grab the imagination of Hugh Hefner as he placed her firmly on the cover of three of his magazines, Playboy July 1988, Playboy May 1996, Playboy October 1998 and his special Playboy’s Supermodels issue of 1995.

With the trademark mole on her upper lip, Cindy has become the face of evergreen beauty and elegance in the world of supermodels.
