Archive for August, 2009

Hugh Hefner is a man who realizes that one is a lonely number and therefore he likes his ladies to come in pairs. This is well born out by the numerous times Mr H has presented twins in his iconic Playboy magazine.

From the first Playboy twins way back in October 1970, Mary and Madeleine Collinson to the Barbi Twins, Shane and Sia, in 1991 and 1993 right through to Hef’s own girlfriends of 2007 Kristina and Karissa Shannon, the consummate Playboy has just about every man in the land looking at him through shades of jealousy green!

Of course, the 1990’s also held it’s own share of twins with Sandy and Mandy Bentley gracing the cover of Playboy magazine May 2000.

And when 2009 arrived, Hugh wasn’t about to see out the decade without adding yet another double act to his collection when he produced his first ever double issue which took in July and August 2009 and saw several more of Hef’s twins from over the years being brought back for all to enjoy in 14 pages of glossy colour.
Teri Peterson is yet another actress and fashion model who’s career path led her to Playboy magazine in July 1980 when she graced the cover of Hugh Hefner’s iconic magazine as a Playboy model.

Born in Santa Monica in 1959 as one of three sisters, Teri became a fashion model by the time she was 21 and was in great demand for fashion photo shoots long before she became the Playboy Playmate of the Month in 1980.

Following her Playmate photo shoot Teri went on to appear in several Playboy Special editions including Playboy’s Girls of Summer and Playboy’s Book of Lingerie in the 1990’s.

Although Teri found fame on the big screen her acting career was more directed towards stage work in the Los Angeles area. Teri Peterson has since gone on to become a martial arts instructor and personal trainer.

Apart from her fame arising from becoming a Playboy model, appearing on the cover of Playboy magazine in October 1981, Maud Adams is also known for having been the actress who played two different Bond girls in the James Bond movies, The Man with the Golden Gun in 1974 and Octopussy in 1983.

Born in Sweden in 1945 to a tax collector father and a controller mother Maud showed a talent for languages and with her command of five in total she became a translator.

But Maud’s big break came when she was working in a shop and came in contact with a photographer who took her photograph and entered her into the Miss Sweden contest, which she won. From there on Maud Adams’ career as a model was born.

Maud quickly moved to Paris and then on to New York City where she worked for Eileen Ford and became the highest paid model in the world.
The model’s acting career began when she appeared in The Boys in the Band in 1970 and then went on to star in Kojak with Telly Savalas and Hawaii Five O.

But it was her appearance in the James Bond movie with Roger Moore and Christopher Lee and again with Moore in Octopussy.
Maud’s acting career also saw her several years later as an extra in the Bond movie A View to a Kill in 1985.
On her time as a Bond girl Maud stated, “Looking back on it, how can you not really enjoy the fact that you were a Bond Girl? It’s pop culture and to be part of that is very nice.”
Maud guest starred on That ’70s Show in 2000, appearing as a bridesmaid to Tanya Roberts, along with Kristina Wayborn, her Octopussy co-star and Barbara Carrera, all four women have the title of Bond girl.
Maud has been married twice, with her first marriage to Roy Adams in 1966 and ending in divorce in 1976. She married her current husband, private mediator and retired judge, Charles Rubin, in 1999. She has no children.
With her exotic Haitian looks, Garcelle Beauvais made her Playboy model debut on the cover of Hugh Hefner’s men’s magazine in August 2007 in which she can be seen in a nude pictorial.

The actress and former fashion model is best known for her roles in NYPD Blue and The Jamie Foxx Show but wasn’t phased at the prospect of removing her clothes to appear in the iconic magazine.
With a career that began at age seventeen, Beauvais first found fame and fortune in New York where she moved in an effort to pursue a career as a fashion model. After a short time in The Big Apple Garcelle moved to Miami where she was signed with Ford Models and Irene Marie Models. She modeled print ads for Avon, Mary Kay and Clairol, and she also modeled in catalogs for Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom.
Garcelle’s modeling career has seen her on the catwalks for famous fashion houses such as Calvin Klein and Isaac Mizrahi.

In 2008, Garcelle launched her children’s jewelry line called Petit Bijou” and with three children of her own, it was an inevitable fashion path for her to walk.
Up until now one could quite easily have been forgiven for believing that The Hills star, Heidi Montag, was physically joined at the hip with her, now husband, Spencer Pratt, but since appearing solo in Hugh Hefner’s Playboy magazine for September 2009, it now transpires that Heidi can actually do something on her own.

As the girl with one of the hottest bodies on television, graces the cover of Playboy, her lack of acting skills and general over all appeal to the public has, for now, been brushed aside, as Heidi trawls in many more male fans worldwide with her Playboy pictorial.

Although Heidi doesn’t appear nude, we’re sure the mere sight of her in skimpy lingerie and seductive poses will more than compensate for her total nudity and with a little imagination on the part of Playboy readers everywhere, who knows how she will appear in their mind’s eye!
