Australian born ‘The Body’ Elle MacPherson is one of Hugh Hefner’s Playboy bunny girls who has remained constantly beautiful, graceful and classy throughout both her modeling and acting career.
It was 1994 that saw Elle not only making her acting debut with Hugh Grant in Sirens, but appearing on cover of Hef’s May 1994 issue of Playboy magazine.

From then, Elle has continued to grace the cover of many magazines, appear in several movies with such actors as George Clooney, Sam Neill, Anthony Hopkins, Barbara Streisand and Portia de Rossi.
Becoming one of the first Supermodels, as coined by the 1980’s description, along with Claudia Schiffer, Christy Turlington Cindy Crawford, Kate Moss, Linda Evangelista, Christie Brinkley and Naomi Campbell, Elle has enjoyed a long and successful career in the public eye not only as a model and actress but also as a restauranteur and a business woman with her own line of intimate apparel and cosmetics.

In March 2009 MacPherson looked dazzling in a green and gold eveing gown as she walked the red carpet before picking up an award at the Women’s World Awards in Vienna. As reported by the UK’s Daily Mail newspaper, ‘The 44-year-old, who is 6ft tall, clearly saw no need for high heels, teaming the dress instead with a pair of flip flops. Her award was for World Career. As well as huge success in modelling, which earned her the nickname The Body, Elle has founded a number of business ventures.

Who would have thought that a German born supermodel, like Claudia Schiffer, who has posed naked for several men’s magazines would have turned down the accolade of appearing Hugh Hefner’s Playboy magazine as a Playboy Bunny girl?
But that’s exactly what the famous ex girlfriend of illusionist David Copperfield did back in 1997. Instead, Schiffer appeared on the cover of the May 1997 issue of Playboy magazine wearing a black sequined top, falling slightly off her shoulder and looking a seductive as she possibly could fully clothed.

The inner pages see Schiffer, once again clothed in a sparking, sheer two piece, but still not revealing anything anywhere sexually explicit.

When asked about her decision to turn down Hugh’s offer to appear nude in his publication she stated, “I didn’t want in 20 years from now to have somebody saying, ‘What was her career again? Oh yeah, she was in Playboy’, and just to be remembered for that. It’s not that I’m against it. I’m German, I’m very open, in Germany they lay in the park naked. It’s just the principle.”
Or, were there not enough zeros on the end of the offer?
